Compass Arena – Project Development & Launch
During my time at Compass, I was deeply involved in the build and launch of Compass Arena, a multi-use entertainment facility that brought together sports, dining, and nightlife under one roof.
Facility Highlights:
Two state-of-the-art soccer fields that could also convert into a concert and performance arena
A lavazza Café, full-service restaurant and sports bar, and an upscale whiskey bar
A flexible event center designed to host everything from corporate gatherings to late-night entertainment
My Role:
I worked across teams to shape the rollout of this ambitious project—partnering with operations, vendors, and community partners to ensure each component felt connected under one brand. I developed marketing campaigns and partner outreach strategies to build awareness, drive sponsorships, and establish Compass Arena as a destination for both local residents and visitors.
Impact:
From the first matches on the soccer fields to evenings in the restaurant and live events in the arena, I helped bring Compass Arena from blueprint to grand opening. This experience taught me how to manage complex launches, balance multiple stakeholders, and create a brand story that resonated across sports, hospitality, and entertainment.
Compass Arena Signage & Branding
I collaborated on the design and placement of the Compass Arena logo signage, leading the process from concept to installation. I obtained and compared three competitive quotes, ultimately saving the company over $30,000 in unnecessary third-party signage fees by handling design elements and measurements in-house. I worked directly with ownership to pitch logo placement, determine sizing in compliance with city requirements, and finalize the building location for maximum visibility. In addition, I coordinated with the executive assistant and facilities manager overseeing permitting to ensure the project was completed smoothly and on time.
Website
Partnered with the owner and hospitality director to create and launch Compass Arena’s website. I worked through multiple design versions, presenting updates and securing approvals at each stage to ensure the site reflected both the brand vision and operational needs. The final product highlighted the arena’s diverse offerings—sports, dining, entertainment, and events—while providing an intuitive experience for guests exploring bookings, menus, and upcoming events.
